About Us

A family story, carved in stone

Pazzi Marble & Granite is led by Managing Director Amadeus Ruffilli Schipperheyn, but the story begins a generation earlier.

Amadeus grew up in the studio of his father, Peter Schipperheyn – an artist and sculptor working primarily in marble and bronze. Watching blocks of stone and metal become figures, forms and stories sparked a lifelong fascination with craft and the permanence of natural materials.

His mother, Cinzia Ruffilli, has been just as integral to the DNA of Pazzi. Her creativity, encouragement and belief in what the business could become helped shape its spirit from day one. When the time came to create the Pazzi showroom, she designed and hand-made the Pazzi logo as a mosaic, now installed as a permanent feature. It’s a daily reminder that this is a family-built company, grounded in passion and artistry.

Stone is one of the few things we work with that will outlast us.

It allows us to create beauty that stands the test of time.

In 2009, Amadeus started Pazzi in his parents’ backyard with a clear vision:

" To build the finest stoneworks company in the world - a place where craftsmanship, technology and design come together to produce work of uncompromising quality. "

That vision still guides every decision we make.

Pazzi today -scale, craft and philosophy

Today, Pazzi Marble & Granite operates two factories in Mulgrave, with a growing team of more than thirty skilled craftspeople. We work across premium residential and architectural projects, from statement kitchens and bathrooms to staircases, fireplaces, floors and full-home stone packages.

Our workshops combine:

  • Advanced machinery – CNCs, waterjets and digital slab scanners for precision cutting, profiling and planning

  • Skilled stonemasons and finishers – shaping, polishing and resolving details by hand

  • Architectural thinking – seeing stone not just as a surface, but as part of the structure and story of a home or building

Technology ensures every piece is precise and consistent.

Craft ensures it feels alive.

Underneath the machinery, the heart of Pazzi is our culture. We believe in:

  • Truth – honest advice, realistic expectations, clear communication

  • Mastery of craft – attention to details that most people will never notice, but always feel

  • Shaping people – training and mentoring the next generation of stonemasons to go further than we have

Every benchtop, fireplace, floor and wall that leaves our factory is a physical record of those values.

Our Vision

We see Pazzi as being at the beginning of its next chapter.

Our vision is to:

  • Grow in mastery, not just size

  • Set a global benchmark for architectural stonework

  • Train and empower the next generation of stonemasons and craftspeople

  • Continue exploring where craft, technology and design intersect in new and meaningful ways

We’re proud of what’s been built so far – from a backyard operation to a multi-factory architectural stonemason trusted across Victoria – and deeply grateful to the family, team members, clients and partners who have made it possible.

For us, this is not the final form of Pazzi.

It’s the foundation.

This is just the beginning.
