Beaumaris Residence — Stonework by Pazzi Marble & Granite
Stonework: Pazzi Marble & Granite | Architect: Chris Clout Design | Interior Designer: Black Milk Interior Design | Builder: Coben | Joinery: Leeda Projects
This extraordinary three-storey residence in Beaumaris exemplifies the power of natural stone in contemporary design. Working alongside a leading design and construction team, Pazzi Marble & Granite delivered stone applications across nearly every level of the home, uniting durability with elegance and technical mastery.
Lift Core
The defining feature of the residence is the monumental lift core, clad in Superwhite Dolomite from Signorino. Spanning three levels and reaching 9.3 metres in height, this installation demanded exceptional precision. Mitred edges, aris detailing, and a birds-beak finish highlight the grandeur of the material while ensuring seamless vertical continuity.
Ground Floor Lounges & Fireplace
In the lounge and TV unit areas, Superwhite Dolomite continues as a unifying feature. Honed to perfection, the stone enhances the warmth of the fireplace while balancing against the clean architectural lines of the ground floor.
Entry Column
The stone entry column sets the tone from the moment of arrival, a bold marker of material sophistication.
Walk-in Robe Border
The private spaces carry the same sense of refinement, with Tundra Grey Limestone from Turkey used to craft a honed border for the walk-in robe.
Rooftop Fireplace
At the rooftop level, a floating fireplace in Dekton Uyuni becomes both sculptural and functional. The mitred apron and recessed skirting detail ensure the design appears light despite its solidity.
Helical Stairs
Perhaps the most technically ambitious element, the three levels of Thassos Marble stairs are crafted with a 130mm apron and backlit LED nosing. The luminous white marble from Greece creates a sculptural spine that winds through the residence.
Steam Room
In the steam room, Dekton Domoos surfaces were used to withstand heat and humidity, paired with LED lighting under the custom bench seat.
Formal Living Fireplace
Echoing the ground floor, a formal living TV unit in Superwhite Dolomite was detailed with mitred and flat edges, showcasing rebated stonework and layered craftsmanship.
Ensuites & Custom Basins
Across multiple ensuites, powder rooms, and guest spaces, custom stone basins were fabricated in Tundra Grey Limestone. Each vanity was individually crafted to bring subtle variation while maintaining consistency throughout the home.
Full-Height Stone Bathrooms
Bathrooms were elevated with floor-to-ceiling Tundra Grey panels, pairing stone floors with continuous wall cladding for an immersive stone experience.
Kitchen & Butlers Pantry
The heart of the home features a statement Superwhite Dolomite island with three-sided waterfall edges, complemented by splashbacks and a butler’s kitchen finished in the same stone.
Outdoor Alfresco & Wine Cellar
Curved alfresco benchtops, outdoor stone islands, and wine cellar stone details complete the scope, blending durability with understated luxury.
Crafting Beyond Surfaces
This Beaumaris residence demonstrates Pazzi’s ability to shape stone into every architectural and interior element imaginable: structural, decorative, and functional. From soaring vertical features to intricate custom joinery details, every application is executed with precision to enhance the vision of the architect and interior designer.
