Stonemason Fabricator Mulgrave VIC | Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Stonemason Fabricator to join our production team at Pazzi Marble & Granite.

In this role you will independently produce high-precision natural stone elements (benchtops, cladding, feature pieces and more) to a high standard. You will handle a full range of fabrication tasks with minimal supervision, maintain excellent quality, and support junior team members. You will be a reliable core member of the factory team.

About You (Essential)

  • Extensive experience as a stonemason or fabricator in natural stone (typically 5+ years)
  • Exceptional hand skills and eye for premium quality finish
  • Ability to read complex drawings and solve fabrication challenges independently
  • Proven ability to mentor and raise the standard of others
  • High personal craftsmanship standards and pride in work
  • Strong communicator who can give constructive feedback
  • Physically capable of handling stone safely

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and handle stone materials safely
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment with machinery, slurry and noise
  • Able to always wear required PPE

What you will do

  • Independently produce complex and high-precision stone work to the highest standard
  • Master a full range of fabrication processes including advanced edge work, polishing and finishing
  • Interpret complex shop drawings and resolve practical fabrication issues
  • Identify material, drawing or process issues early and recommend solutions
  • Set the quality standard and support quality checking of others’ work when required
  • Mentor and train Junior and Intermediate Fabricators
  • Pack and protect finished work correctly; ensure presentation standards are met
  • Keep work areas and equipment to a high standard
  • Follow and champion all safety and quality procedures
  • Actively contribute to process, tooling and workflow improvements
  • Step in on critical or complex work and support the Foreman as needed

Nice to have

  • Experience with CNC programming, waterjet operation or advanced stone processing equipment
  • Previous work on high-end architectural or complex residential stone projects
  • Deep knowledge of a wide range of natural stones and their fabrication characteristics
  • Experience leading small teams or acting as a Leading Hand / charge-hand
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement and process efficiency
  • Experience working in a high-standards / quality-focused workshop environment
  • Ability to contribute to training plans or skill development of the wider team
